The Department of Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology aims to “train skilled persons in biomedicine and environmental biology.” Supported by the abundant medical resources of the Kaohsiung Medical University College of Life Science and the hospital, plus the environmental biodiversity in southern Taiwan, the integration of academic theories and modern technology help students to conform to the trends and become the specialist in basic biological science.

生物醫學暨環境生物學系教學宗旨「培育生物醫學及環境生物專長之人才」，以本校生命科學院及附設醫院豐富之醫學資源為後盾，加上南部地區環境生物的多樣性，結合學術理論與現代科技，使學生能夠因應時代潮流，以成為優秀的基礎生物科學專門人才。
