Biomedical Science Program:

Discuss oncogene mutation and apoptosis mechanism to thereby develop the gene therapy of cancers.

Discuss the molecular biology of the Epstein-Barr virus, in order to understand the mechanisms of carcinogenesis and virulence.

Discuss the gene mutation of genetic diseases to thereby develop an animal disease model.

Apply genetic engineering of antibodies to develop gene therapy and protein therapeutics for treating cancer or virus.

Develop a non-invasive imaging system to trace gene expression in living bodies.

Find targeted therapy through functional genomics, and focus on targeted therapy and develop drugs.

Discuss the mutation of diseases based on digital genetic polymorphisms to develop precision medical monitoring.

Environmental Biology Program:

Adopt bioinformatics to attempt and find the relation between organism and organism and between organism and the environment through system simulation.  

Apply modern biotechnology to study how organisms cope and live in a hostile environment.

Apply molecular biology to discuss the mechanism of biological evolution and specification based on the concept of system classification.

The study of operating environmental factors and the interaction between organisms and humans using individual behavior and population ecology. Strengthen the research on biodiversity in southern Taiwan and expand the exchange with the industries.

生物醫學組:

從癌基因變異及癌細胞凋亡機制之探討,進而發展癌症之基因治療。
探討Epstein-Barr病毒之分子生物學,以了解其致癌及致病之機制。
從遺傳疾病基因變異之探討,進而發展疾病之動物模式。
利用抗體基因工程,發展基因療法和開發治療癌症或病毒之蛋白質藥物。
開發非侵犯性造影系統以追蹤基因於活體內之表現。
利用功能性基因體學發現藥靶,並針對藥靶研發藥物。
以數位基因多型性,探討疾病之變異,進而發展個人化醫療監測。

環境生物組:

利用生物資訊的研究方法,以系統模擬嘗試發現生物與生物,及生物與環境的關係。
利用現代生物技術,研究在逆境環境下,生物如何因應與生活。
利用分子生物方法,以系統分類觀念探討生物演化系統及物種種化之機制。
利用個體行為及族群生態方法,研究環境之各項因子運作及其與生物和人類相互作用之關係。
加強南部生物多樣性的研究,擴大與產業界的交流。
